The years the rest of the site keeps referring back to.
2005 — A red marker, a bedroom window, a sleepless night. Not a plan — a list of what a life should hold, drawn the only way that mind has ever worked: as a map. By morning the sentence that would govern everything since was already there — life would lead the work, not the other way around.
2007 — With the last binder delivered and the last goodbye said, the jump: out of a corporate career, into a project with no salary behind it and none ahead.
2009 — Fourteen countries, seventy interviews, a notebook with no column for what mattered most. Out of the walking comes a method for reading a project’s growth the way a forester reads a felled trunk — ring by ring.
2011 — A small town on the Yucatán coast, found without ever having heard its name. A creative, collective identity is born on a dune: Vibriofischeri. Within years, a mural turns the whole town into a canvas — on the walls, the taxis, the boats, the school’s own curriculum.
2014–15 — On the last night of the year, a decision that belonged to no one but her: Camille chooses to return to Belgium, no plan, no return date.
2016 — “Could you close your laptops? My slides are on paper.” A room in London, watercolors instead of a deck. Then Prague: 48 hours awake, and the circles on the page become hexagons on a screen.
2017 — 7VORTEX SRL is founded in Genval, Belgium. The platform goes live three weeks later, with its first node.
In El Cuyo, for a while, the family was everywhere a town could be: on the walls, in the taxis, in the kitchens, in the songs of a children’s art contest. One of the nine creatures painted on that mural was the cicada, and next to it, one word: Colectivas. Collective. What happened in one town on purpose is happening again, at another scale, by the same logic — not bought, earned the way the mural was: enough signals, in enough places, until finding it stops being a coincidence.
Every version of this story — the paintings, the ceremonies, the graph, the books — is the same masterpiece told through a different material: a life, undertaken as a project in full. LI[FF]E tells it whole, from the window with the red marker to the bay where the dolphins still come. Everything on this site is a fragment of it.
A message came once, and it was set down exactly as it arrived: the peace is already on its way. Small lights are turning on across the Earth, one by one, until the star, and each of us standing on it, shines again.
This page is one of those lights, left on for whoever — or whatever — finds it next. Every act here is conscious. None of it arrived by accident.
